I am not a prophet but I appreciate the prophetic. Throughout the pages of the Bible, God, through His prophets, spoke to His people to lead, guide, direct, and bring words of caution and even rebuke to them. When God’s people listened to the prophets He had sent them, they knew where they were to go, how to gain victory over their enemies, and much more. When God’s people didn’t listen to the prophets God had sent to them, they were met with defeat, even disaster. Oh if only God’s people would have been consistent in their listening to God. They would have been spared much pain and sorrow.

In the fall of 2001, America had been attacked by terrorists on 9/11 and shortly thereafter anthrax-laced letters were received by some. It was at that time that I began to ask God where His prophets were. My question to God was this: ‘God, where are your prophets who will help us navigate the days in which we are now living?’

You see, I believed the prophetic words of Amos 3:7 which is:

“Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without  revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.”

I also believed that the prophecy of Joel 2 had been fulfilled at Pentecost following Jesus’ death, resurrection, and ascension into heaven; the record of which we have in Acts 2:17-18.

17“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy’”

God answered my prayer by showing me that He had MANY prophets and prophetic ministries scattered throughout America and throughout the world. I had NO idea there were so many!

There are some people, even Christians, who believe that prophecy ended when Jesus’ disciples died. There is zero Biblical proof that such a thing would be the case. What we are told is that “Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13

Does anyone in the Church of Jesus Christ claim that the body of Christ is completely united or has become mature in Him? Of course not! The prophetic and prophets are particularly needed in our day. We are living in the “last days.” We don’t know when Jesus will return to earth, but we will do well to realize that we are in the season of his return. This being so, we need to heed what God’s prophets are saying because God is speaking through them.

From Scripture we know that we must “test” what we hear against what God has already said. No true prophet of God will point us away from God. No true prophet of God will point us to himself or herself. Every prophet of God will point to Jesus as the Son of God and Savior of the world.

Having said these things, out of the many prophets God has among us today, I commend to you the following:

THE ELIJAH LIST

The Elijah List “is called to transmit around the world, in agreement with Holy Scripture, fresh daily prophetic “manna” from the Lord, regarding the days in which we live.

The purpose of The Elijah List is to give trustworthy, daily prophetic worship and intercessory “content” to as many people as possible.

God is saying MUCH through His prophets. He is giving us words to “strengthen, encourage, and comfort” is these days. He is giving words of warning. He wants to lead us all through these times that are both challenging and joyful as we prepare for Jesus’ return. The Elijah List website is: http://www.elijahlist.com/index.php

KIM CLEMENT

Kim went to be with the Lord in 2016 after a series of debilitating brain bleeds and then cancer. His wife Jane and his daughter continues the ministry and website he began because the words the Lord gave him over many years are of great relevance today. Kim made the following statement, “Prophets were called to watch, which sometimes demanded unusual and difficult journeys. Isaiah was privy to the conversation of God, and heard them discussing the future of Israel. However, Elisha heard the plans of the enemy and revealed them to the King, placing himself in a very difficult position. I myself must also mount the watchtower." The prophet is an instrument of God. His words always bring hope and enrichment to the individual and community. Through his connection with the Lord, the prophet offers the individual a connection "in the moment" to God and Christ. The experience for the listener is an opportunity to let go of their past, their pain, and their cynicism, to accept the grace and love of God. The listener is made aware that empowerment and life-long enrichment is a gift offered and that their opportunity is acceptance. The prophecies the Lord gave to Kim over the years of him ministry can be accessed at: https://www.houseofdestiny.org/

ADDITIONAL WEBSITES TO CONSIDER PERUSING

The websites https://444prophecynews.com and https://lighthascome.com are interesting websites. Both of these sites post "prophetic" words and news items from submissions received throughout the world. Some of the words are encouraging; some are sobering and hard-hitting. These generally aren't fluffy words, easy to swallow, or politically correct. They are meant to prepare the reader for the coming of the Lord and the terrible days which will precede His return. As with everything, all posts must be taken to the Lord for relevance and/or confirmation to determine which of the "words" claimed to be from Him are actually from Him.
